Kobold

Hoy os enseñaré uno de los trabajos recientemente entregados y del que me siento orgullosa porque era de gran envergadura y hubo que hacerlo en tiempo record, UN MES. Se trataba de la reforma integral de un local de dos plantas para albergar la Delegación Provincial de Vorwerk, una empera alemana, líder mundial en el sector de venta directa. En concreto, esta Delegación, alberga todo lo relacionado con Kobold, y el Servicio Técnico de Thermomix.

Dejamos el local totalmente diáfano y levantamos toda la tabiquería de pladur, os muestro algo del proceso:


Here is one of our recent work. I´m proud of it, because it was a major project that had to be done in record time, ONE MONTH. It is a complete refurbish of the business premises to host the Vorwerk offices in Tenerife, a German company leader in its field, which sells Thermomix and Kobold.

Los tabiques de cristal se realizaron sin perfilería de aluminio, y con vinilos dando el aspecto de cristal al ácido:The glass walls were made without frames and with vynils creating the acid glass efect

Parte del mobiliario se realizó lacado en blanco y según diseño aportado el Cliente:
Some of the furniture was custom made in DMF lacquered in white, following the designs provided by the Client.

A rayas

¡He aquí las rayas! La verdad es que he recopilado muchas fotos de habitaciones decoradas con rayas porque pensaba que me gustaban. Las prefiero gruesas a finas, y sólo en un elemento: pared, tapicería, muebles, alfombras,etc,  PERO NUNCA EN TODOS A LA VEZ NI DE DIFERENTES COLORES.
El caso es que he ido acumulando las fotos a lo largo del tiempo pensando en hacer un post cualquier día, y aquí tenéis el resultado. Pero os dire, que de repente, LAS HE ABORRECIDO. De tanto verlas, me han terminado horrorizando. De lo que nos tenemos que dar cuenta con esto es que abusar de ellas puede ser pecado mortal. Así que cuando queráis rayas, buscad su justa medida (la foto de la cabecera es ideal)

Here come the stripes! I´ve got together a bunch of images showing different rooms decorated with stripes, an element which I like when used with restraint. I´d rather have them thick than thin, and used only in in one place, wall, rug, furniture, upholstery, BUT NEVER ALL TOGETHER AND IN DIFFERENT COLOURS. The thing is, I´ve come up with a lot of pictures and here you have the result. But I´ll tell you, THE MORE I SEE THEM, THE MORE I HATE THEM, but I have just realized it, when putting this post together. So after you see all the pictures together, you´ll realize, that and overdoze of stripes can be a real mistake! So if you decide to go for stripes, find the right measure.

Espejos de herencia

Pues este es mi espejo de herencia. Es enorme, no sé si se aprecia en la foto, pero mide aproximandamente 250cm x 150 cm. La verdad es que no es la típca cosa que una se compraría, pero hay que apreciarla por su antiguedad y su valor artístico. Pero lo más importante, es que alguien que lo valoraba mucho, ha querido que lo tuviera yo. Este tipo de piezas son bastante difíciles de encajar en una casa. Primero, porque son tan ostentosas que no me gustan como protagonistas de ninguna estancia en concreto. Segundo, ¡porque no hay pared vacía de ese tamaño para colocarlo! y tercero, poque si no es tu estilo de decoración, hay que saber combinarla bien para sacarle el partido que se merece. Es decir, como te equivoques puedes pecar de muy hortera, pero como lo sepas combinar, ¡la estancia gana caché!

Pues yo he escogido el hueco de la escalera, porque es un sitio de paso, se ve desde la entrada y el salón y sin embargo no es protagonista. Además queda proporcionado y, sin duda, me gusta la combinación de la escalera moderna con el espejo tan clásico.


This is my inherited mirror. It´s huge, I don´t know if your can notice it in the pictures, but it is about 250cm by 150 cm. The truth is, that it is not just the typical thing I would buy for myself, but I must appreciate it as an antique and as a piece of art. But the most important thing is that someone that thought of it as a treasure wanted me to have it. 
These pieces are quite hard to place in a normal home. First, because they are so sumptous, that I would not want them to be the protagonist of any room. Second, because there´s no nude wall big enough to hold them, and third because if they are not your style, you must be careful to combine them well, otherwise they might look tacky.

Well, I´ve decided to place it at the stairwell, because it is a place to pass through but not to stay, because it may be seen from the hall and from the living room without being the center of attention, and because I love the modern look of the stairs together with the classic look of the mirror.
