Ideas para baños

Hoy os muestro una selección de fotos de algunos baños que me han llamado la atención por algo, y que me han servido de inspiración para algún proyecto.

Esta primera selección me gusta por tratar al baño como una habitación y decorarlo como se merece, con muebles, cuadros, flores y plantas, etc.


Today, I´ve selected a few potos of bathrooms that have caught my eye for some reason and have served me as great inspiration for some of my projects.

I specially like these first ones for being treated as any other room of the house, fully decorated as deserved, with furniture, artwork, flowers, plants, etc.

Ideas para baños pequeños, con baldas de madera en diferentes alturas y de diferentes anchos.

For smaller bathrooms or powder rooms, I like the idea of using wooden sheleves in different widths and placed at different heights.




Para baños con espacio, me encanta la idea de llenarlos de plantas y aprovechar la luz. Las plantas dentro del baño se dan muy bien porque aprovechan toda la humedad del ambiente y llevan muy poco mantenimiento.
If there´s enough space, I love having lots of natural plants inside and open up the space to natural light. Plants grow very nicely inside bathrooms because they take up all the dampness in the room and take very little maintance.

 Para paredes, suelos  o encimeras de lavabos sin juntas, el microcemento es una opción perfecta, combinado con madera o piedra no falla.

For walls, floors and sinks with no joints, microcement is the perfect choice. Combine it with Wood or natural stone to get a wonderful result.

 

 

  

 

 Para aprovechar la vista, no dejes de abrir un hueco en tu pared, incluso dentro de la ducha.

Ya hemos hablado muchas veces de utilizar cualquier mueble como base para el lavabo, tendrás un baño muy original y lleno de personalidad.
Choosing furniture that hasn´t been initially thought out for a vanity will provide us with a very original bathroom.


 

Los espejos pueden poner el punto diferente.
Mirrors can make a big difference.

 Para dejar mensajes al resto de la familia, pinta una pared de pizarra.

Amarillo

Parece que el calor quiere llegar pero no termina de entrar, así que yo lo invoco con este color que hace referencia al sol, a la luz y a la energía.

El amarillo ha significado muchas cosas a lo largo de la historia, desde lo eterno e indestructible en el antiguo Egipto, pasando por ser el color de la envidia y los celos en la Edad Media y el Renacimiento, convirtiéndose en el color para expresar emociones y sentimientos en los siglos XVIII y XIX a través de la pintura de Turner o Van Gohg o siendo un símbolo de exclusión tomando la  forma de la estrella de David.

Pero aquí nos referiremos a este color por lo que evoca en el interiorismo y la decoración.

El amarillo es el color que primero percibe el ojo humano, es por eso que nos llama la atención inmediatamente. Es muy vistoso y destaca incluso junto con otros colores. En exceso puede tener un efecto perturbador, pero acentos amarillos alegran mucho cualquier habitación.

Combinándolo con grises conseguiremos espacios elegantes y sobrios pero con un toque desenfadado y alegre.
Con sus complementarios, como el violeta o el azul, se consiguen espacios muy llamativos y eclécticos, que para mi gusto cansan la vista.
Las maderas, también cálidas, junto con el amarillo consiguen un conjunto armonioso.

Yo prefiero restringir el amarillo a pequeños acentos utilizados en espacios donde predomine una paleta neutra, pero sé apreciar cuando alguien se atreve con este color y consigue buenos resultados.

The sun is attempting to come out, but doesn´t quite get there, so I´m invoking it with yellow, the color of sunshine, happiness and joy.

Yellow has had various meanings throughout history, from eternal and indestructible in the Ancient Egypt, to taking on associations with envy and jelaousy during de Middle Ages,  used to create moods and emotions in the paintings of Tuner or Van Gogh, or as a symbol of exclusion taking the shape of the star of David.

But we will consider this color for what it evokes in decoration and interior design. 

Yellow, is the first color our eyes notice, therefore it pops out among any other color. Used as small accents in a room will brighten up the whole space. 
In combination with greys, we´ll create elegant and restrained spaces with a bright touch. 
With its complementaries, violet or blue, bold and eclectic spaces are created, but might end up tiring the eye.

I´d rather have yellow restrained to small accents in spaces done in a neutral palette, although I do appreciate it when someone goes bold with yellow and achieves an eye-poppig result.

fuera de sitio y perfecto resultado

Lo que a priori nos puede parecer una locura y fuera de sitio más tarde puede terminar siendo todo un acierto. Abramos nuestra mente a nuevas opciones y no encasillemos los muebles destinándolos a un único sitio en casa porque, ¿a que no se te hubiera ocurrido poner un carrito bar, una alacena, una consola antigua
dentro del baño?, ¿y una araña o una butaca tapizada o un espejo antiguo en la cocina?
¡No se tires nada y busca un sitio nuevo para esos muebles! Aquí dejo algunos ejemplos para que sirvan de inspiración.

What at first might feel out of place, later ends up as wise choice. We must open our minds and not categorize furniture thinking each piece is only suitable for the room meant for in the first place. Has it ever occured to you to have a bar cart, a kitchen cupboard or a console in your bathroom? ¿How about having  a crystal pendant lamp, an upholstered chair or an old mirror in the kitchen?
Do not throw anything away!!! Try different furniture in different places! I´ll leave you with some great examples for inspiration....

Pavimentos, el suelo como protagonista

El suelo de una vivienda es de las cosas más agradecidas de una reforma. Elegir un pavimento adecuado y atractivo dará un cambio drástico a toda la estética de la reforma. Uno de los recursos fáciles y económicos para cambiar el suelo es recurrir a la tarima flotante, ya sea de madera o sintética, que sin obras y de rápida colocación será una aportación importante. Pero hay infinidad de diferentes pavimentos que podemos elegir para que tengan mayor protagonismo dentro de toda la reforma y hoy os enseño unos cuantos para que podáis elegir.
A la hora de elegir el pavimento más adecuado para tu casa hay que tener en cuenta varias cosas como si es fácil de limpiar, si es poroso, si tiene muchas juntas, qué tipo de zócalo o rodapié necesita, si resbala, qué tráfico va a tener, a qué zona de la casa va destinado, etc.

Flooring is the icing of the cake in a home renovation. Choosing and adecuate and attractive pavement will have a drastic effect on the whole renovation. An easy choice will be laminate flooring, either natural or synthetic, this will be an easy to install and clean way to achive a drastic change. Although there are many pavement options to choose from to make "the floor" the star of the house. 

When choosing the right pavement for your home, you should bear in mind things like if it´s easy to clean, porous, if it has too many joints, which skirting does it need, etc.

Las Cositas de Beach and Eau

Ya sabéis que a mi me encanta el microcemento, porque permite tener una superficie continua sin juntas y también sin rodapié. Es muy fácil de limpiar, es resistente y está disponible en muchos colores. Sus acabados también son varios, rugoso, liso, brillante, satinado, etc.

My personal choice is microcement. I love continuous surfaces with no joints and no skirting. Easy to clean, resistant and available in many colors and finishings, microcement is a good choice.
