Nueva construccion, un taller

Hoy os muestro fotos de la ejecución de una obra nueva adosada a una construcción ya existente.
Es el taller de la diseñadora de juguetes para niños Macarena Bilbao

El taller se compone de dos cubiertas una de hormigón armado y otra cubierta ligera, cada una de ellas con con inclinación contraria y diferente altura para permitir una entrada de luz adicional.

Una vez se hubo preparado el terreno se fabricó una estructura  métálica independiente con vigas doble T, adosada a la estructura de la vivienda. Para la parte de cubierta de hormigón, se descubrió el cierre de la fachada y se ancló un emparrillado de hierro que se encofró y se hormigonó.

Today I´m showing the workshop construction of toy designer Macarenabilbao.com. We built two different decks, one was made with concrete and the other was a light deck, both at different heights to allow natural light to come in.
Once the ground was prepared, we built and independant steel framing for the light deck and attached the concrete deck to the structure of the house. 

Sobre la estrucutra metálica pusimos unos paneles de chapa marina cortados a 60 cm de ancho, biselados y lacados en blanco que es lo que se verá desde el interior. Sobre la base de chapa marina colocó una plancha galvanizada grecada, una capa de aislante térmico, en este caso paneles topox, y finalmente la lámina asfáltica con acabado de pizarra.

On top of the steel frame we placed bevelled marine plywood laquered in white, and on top of that the insullation panells, the steel sheet and finally the waterproofing sheet. 

Una vez revestido y pintado el interior y colocada la carpintería de aluminio y el pavimento, éste es el resultado.

Once the interior was plastered and painted, the floor was tiled and the aluminum doors and windows were finished, this is the result.

Este era el hueco de la puerta que comunicaba la vivienda con el exterior se aprovechó para hacer una hornacina llena de baldas.

Rayas negras y blancas

Tengo un par de rollos de papel de rayas negras y blancas desde hace tiempo y nunca tengo muy claro dónde ponerlo.

Sé que me gusta, pero en dosis pequeñas, nunca lo pondría en sitios de mucho uso ni en paredes que se vieran desde varios sitios de la casa. Por ejemplo, no me gusta en el salón pero sin embargo, si que lo pondría en una pared de la cocina, en algún pasillo, en el vestidor, alguna pared del aseo.....Ya me entendéis, ¡que no acabe harta de verlo y lo tenga que quitar a los dos meses!

I have a couple of black and white wallpaper rolls left over and I´m not sure where to put them around the house.

I know I like these stripes, although in small dosis. I don´t think I´d ever have them in spaces where I spend a lot of time, or over walls I can see from different places in the house. I´d have them in the kitchen, in a powder room, in the dresser.... You know, some place where it wouldn´t end up tiring.

Por ejemplo...... Ésto me agobia bastante.

For example, this is a bit overwhelming to me....

Y algo así, me gusta más.... Un sólo paño de pared o cubriendo sólo media altura.
I like them better this way, only one panel, or half way up....

Pero la verdad es que como mejor quedan estas rayas es en los complementos, ahí si que me convencen del todo.

Amarillo

Parece que el calor quiere llegar pero no termina de entrar, así que yo lo invoco con este color que hace referencia al sol, a la luz y a la energía.

El amarillo ha significado muchas cosas a lo largo de la historia, desde lo eterno e indestructible en el antiguo Egipto, pasando por ser el color de la envidia y los celos en la Edad Media y el Renacimiento, convirtiéndose en el color para expresar emociones y sentimientos en los siglos XVIII y XIX a través de la pintura de Turner o Van Gohg o siendo un símbolo de exclusión tomando la  forma de la estrella de David.

Pero aquí nos referiremos a este color por lo que evoca en el interiorismo y la decoración.

El amarillo es el color que primero percibe el ojo humano, es por eso que nos llama la atención inmediatamente. Es muy vistoso y destaca incluso junto con otros colores. En exceso puede tener un efecto perturbador, pero acentos amarillos alegran mucho cualquier habitación.

Combinándolo con grises conseguiremos espacios elegantes y sobrios pero con un toque desenfadado y alegre.
Con sus complementarios, como el violeta o el azul, se consiguen espacios muy llamativos y eclécticos, que para mi gusto cansan la vista.
Las maderas, también cálidas, junto con el amarillo consiguen un conjunto armonioso.

Yo prefiero restringir el amarillo a pequeños acentos utilizados en espacios donde predomine una paleta neutra, pero sé apreciar cuando alguien se atreve con este color y consigue buenos resultados.

The sun is attempting to come out, but doesn´t quite get there, so I´m invoking it with yellow, the color of sunshine, happiness and joy.

Yellow has had various meanings throughout history, from eternal and indestructible in the Ancient Egypt, to taking on associations with envy and jelaousy during de Middle Ages,  used to create moods and emotions in the paintings of Tuner or Van Gogh, or as a symbol of exclusion taking the shape of the star of David.

But we will consider this color for what it evokes in decoration and interior design. 

Yellow, is the first color our eyes notice, therefore it pops out among any other color. Used as small accents in a room will brighten up the whole space. 
In combination with greys, we´ll create elegant and restrained spaces with a bright touch. 
With its complementaries, violet or blue, bold and eclectic spaces are created, but might end up tiring the eye.

I´d rather have yellow restrained to small accents in spaces done in a neutral palette, although I do appreciate it when someone goes bold with yellow and achieves an eye-poppig result.

Los niños van creciendo y hay que ir adaptando los espacios a las necesidades de ocio que van teniendo a cada edad. El cuarto de juegos es mejor hacerlo versátil y no comprometerlo a una única etapa del crecimiento, buscando opciones que vayan creciendo con los niños. Para ello, es preferible mantener el mobiliario y la estructura neutros y jugar con los elementos decorativos que es lo que irá cambiando.
Children grow fast so we need to adapt spaces to their needs thoughout different ages. A play room should be very versatile, and we should not compromise its decoration to a single growing period. We should try to keep it in a neutral palette and only change accesories from time to time.

Hoy os muestro la transformación que hemos hecho en el cuarto de juegos de una familia con tres hijos. En un principio destinaron este cuarto diáfano a una zona donde todos los juguetes tuvieran cabida. Ahora dos de los niños son más mayores y se juntan con amigos a charlar, jugar a la wii y ver películas pero todavía queda uno que tira todos los juguetes.
Today I´m showing the drastic change done in a play room of a family of three children. At first this was a chaotic space where all the toys were around. Now, two of the boys are oder and like to sit around with their friends to watch movies and play wii, but there´s still a toddler around.

Se ha optado por separar todo el espacio en dos zonas, la de audiovisuales y la de juego. Come veis los tonos son neutros y no se encasillan en ninguna edad, pero hay algunos elementos que nos indican que todavía hay niños pequeños.....
We decided to divide the whole space in two areas, one for the TV and the other for playing with toys. As you see, the neutral pallete doens´t make reference to any specific age although some of the elements prove there are still younger children around..
