Soy madre de tres chicos, 10, 9 y 4 años. Tengo la sensación de estar TODO el día recogiendo tras ellos. Me encantaría que sus habitaciones estuvieran ordenadas, ventiladas, limpias, recogidas... pero es imposiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiibleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Hoy os mostraré algunas habitaciones ideales para chicos, algunas de ellas que me gustaría a mi tener para los míos.
A la hora de idear una habitación de chicazo, hay que tener en cuenta que la habitación debe crecer con el niño. Es decir, que el rollo bebe, nos dura dos días, así que mejor será pensar en algo que no sea muy ñoño y nos haga rehacer todo de nuevo.
Los tonos madera dan un aspecto masculino al espacio y los estampados en rayas o cuadros también. Normalmente algún toque de color oscuro completa el conjunto. Los complementos son los que se pueden ir modificando para que la habitación vaya "creciendo" con el niño, los clásicos: trofeos, banderas, guitarras, mapas, barcos, remos, raquetas....
Vamos, que la habitación del niño debe ser sufridita, porque ELLOS, no se quitan la arena ni el barro antes de entrar, y se tumban en la colcha con zapatos y juegan a las peleas golpeando todos los muebles, coleccionan "tesoros" y "fósiles" recogidos de la calle, tienen insectos en frascos durante días, tiran pelotas contra la pared.....¡todo eso y más!

I´m a mother of three boys, 10, 9 and 4 years old. I feel like I´m picking up after them all day, and I would like their bedrooms to be tidy, clean, aired....but that is IMPOSSIBLE. 
Today I´ll show some pictures of boys bedrooms, some of them I whish I had for my own.
When designing a boy´s bedroom, we should have to bare in mind that the room should "grow" with the child, so we should avoid using "baby" stuff, otherwise we will soon have to redo the whole space. 
Wooden finishings give a masculine touch to the room and so do stripes and checkered patterns. A dark color in some of the walls rounds up the whole space. 
Accesories such as flags, tropheys, rackets, boats, maps, etc. are the perfect finishing touch for these rooms.
Remember to make it hard wearing because boys aren´t the cleanest in the house.

El color Topo

Taupe

Hoy dedicaremos una entrada al color TOPO. Con tanto protagonismo en estos tiempos, su reinado absoluto tiene una razón de ser. El topo es un color indeterminado o impreciso que hace referencia a casi todas las gamas de marrones grisáceos, grises marronáceos o a los grises cálidos. Se podría decir incluso, que es un beig rosáceo algo sucio. En alguna de sus tonalidades se puede encontrar alguna pizca de verde.

Taupe, is a vague, unscientific color term which may be used to refer to almost any grayish-brown, brownish-gray, or warm gray color. We could even say it´s a dirty pink beig. We might even find a trace of green in it. It really is an amalgam of colours, and THAT IS ITS SECRET FOR BEING THE STAR

El hecho de que esté formado por varios colores tanto fríos como cálidos, hace de este color, por muy indeterminado que sea, un compañero perfecto de cualquier otro color. Es por eso que es perfecto para todo tipo de estilos decorativos. Se puede alegrar con colores como el rojo, naranja, verde, amarillo; mantener el espíritu neutro con tonos tierra, grises, cremas, blancos; o hacerlo sobrio y frío con negros, blancos, grises fríos y azules. Y a mí me encanta en todas sus manifestaciones.

Mucho antes de que se hablara del color topo, ya existía un color parecido el "greige" que viene a ser la mezcla de gris y beig. Pero la decoración es como la moda, lo mismo pero distinto. ¿o ahora que se lleva de nuevo el talle alto, sacas tus pantalones de hace 20 años? No verdad, porque es lo mismo, ¡pero distinto!

Being a combinatios of many different colors, cold and warm, makes it a perfect partner for any other color in the palette. That´s the reason why it goes so well with any decorative style. We could lighten it up with red, orange, green or yellow. Keep its neutral spirit with earth shades, creams, whites or make it cold and sober with black, white, cold greys and blues. I love it in any state it may be. 

Way before we even talked about taupe, there was a similar color called greige, which is the combination of grey and beig. But decoration is like fashion, because now that high waist pants are comming back you don´t get your 20 year old jeans out of the closet, right? Because it´s the same look but different, isn´t it?

Ideal, pero no podría.....

Beautiful, but I couldn´t.......

Hoy os muestro algunas fotos que aunque son preciosos espacios, yo no podría tenerlos. Como por ejemplo en esta imagen de un salón maravilloso en la arena. ¡qué dentera! no podría soportar la arena en los sillones.....

Today I show some pictures that even though are beautiful spaces I couldn´t have them at my home. Like the picture below, although a gorgeus living room, who could bear the sand on the sofas?

Y esta pared me marea, y más con ese cuadro, que aunque es ideal en esa pared nunca lo pondría (bueno lo que no pondría es la pared)
This makes me dizzy. So many patterns here, although a nice picture, I would never hang it on that wall (what I really wouldn´t have is the pattern on the wall).

Tampoco podría con los cadáveres que me miran mientras duermo....Pero el resto de la habitación es monísima.
I don´t like how they watch me while sleeping....But the rest of the bedroom is gorgeous

Me encanta la idea de este baño, el revestimiento, el color, la luz, el espacio, pero ¿por qué una bañera taaaaaan incómoda?
I just love the design of this bathroom, the tiles, the colour, the light, but why having such an uncomfortable tub?!

No me gusta este estilo "shabby", aunque esté de moda y sea muy poético. Un salón que tendría que ser una invitación al descanso y disfrute, es una invitación a coger una lija y una brocha.
I don´t like the shabby look, even if trendy and poetic. What should be an invitation to rest and comfort, it´s an invitation to plastering and painting.

La verdad es que me encanta este conjunto. una mesa espectacular, con unas sillas de firma, molduras blancas, luz, unas lámparas modernas...... pero el adorno de la pared me recordaría a la navidad TODO EL AÑO. Aunque reconozco el gran gusto de esta combinación, y creo que el resultado es super atractivo.
The truth is, I love this combination: a great table, signature chairs, white moldings, modern lighting.....but the oranment on the wall would remind me of christmas time all year round! Although I acknowledge the wonderful taste of this space and the attractiveness of the whole.

Maravilloso espacio diáfano y lleno de luz y vistas, pero necesitaría más calidez, me resulta absolutamente impersonal.
Wonderful open space, full of light and views, but to me, it would need more warmth and cozyness. I find it totally impersonal.

¿Cómo en este baño minimalista y maravilloso, se puede dejar al azar la colocación del calentador? Nunca lo dejaría a la vista, me chafa toda la estética. 

In a wonderful and minimalistic bathroom, how could anyone leave the water heater so exposed to the view?? To me, it ruins the whole aesthetics of the room.

¿Por qué? A lo mejor en un Museo de Ciencias Naturales.
Why? Maybe in a Science Museum....

Esta cocina es maravillosa, pero prefiero que nos e vean las cosas. Me da más sensación de orden.
This kitchen is wonderful, but I rather have all the stuff inside the cabinets. It looks more tidy.

Aún reconociendo la belleza del papel, del mobiliario, de la butaca, del contraste con la alfombra. No puedo soportar que todo haga conjunto.
I love the pattern of the wall paper, the furniture, the chair, the rug.... But I can´t stand how it ALL MATCHES. I´d get rid of everything except the paper.
