Duchas de obra

Duchas de obra, de las cosas que más hago y de las que más disfruto haciendo. Veo muchísimas posibilidades de ser creativo y de atreverse con materiales, colores o formas diferentes.
Y ya que tantas veces me piden sustituir una bañera por un plato de ducha, hoy les voy a dedicar una entrada a todos aquellos que todavía se lo están pensando. Espero que tengáis aquí una fuente de inspiración y nuevas ideas para acometer un proyecto que no es muy engorroso y que, sin embargo, nos hace la vida más fácil.
Lo importante es pensar que no pasa nada por no tener los mismo azulejos que el resto del baño. Podemos utilizar materiales totalmente diferentes. La ducha es un mundo aparte.
A mi particularmente me gustan las duchas de obra más que los platos prefabricados, algunos proyectos ya os los enseñé aquí, y hoy muestro más ejemplos que se me han ido acumulando en mi carpeta de inspiración y que espero que también os sirvan a vosotros.

Built in showers are my trademark. Really, I´m requested to do a lot of them and it´s the kind of project that I love doing!! I see lots posibilities to try different materials, colors, shapes, etc. 
And since changing a bathtub for a built in shower, is one of the projects which I´m mostly requested to pursue, I´m dedicating this entry to those of you thinking about doing it but haven´t quite made up your mind. 
One important thing, is to bear in mind that not having the same tiles as the rest of the bathroom will not be a problem at all! The shower is a whole different world inside the bathroom. 
I already showed a few shower projects  here, and today I´ll show you more examples that have been piling up in my inspiration folder, hoping they are usefull for you too.

Me llamó la atención.... It caught my eye (5º)

Terminamos el periplo donde lo empezamos y antes de volar a Fuerteventura, donde de verdad descansaremos, estamos un par de días en la capital del Reino. En agosto y con niños......AL CINE, que se está fresquito.

Pues en el centro de ocio de Manoteras encontramos este sitio tan original que nos traslada Estados Unidos en los años 50. Es una parada de autobús, Bus Station.

We finish our road trip right where we started, in Madrid, Spain´s capital. And the combination of children and august´s very high temperatures.....OFF TO THE MOVIES WE GO, a fairly cool place.

At Manoteras´ "Centro de Ocio", we found this original restaurant, Bus Stop, which takes us to the US during the 50´s.

It caught my eye...

Hoy toca el Restaurante Fuentebro, en la localidad de Fontibre, Cantabria. Situado justo sobre el nacimiento del río Ebro, en una casa restaurada y de estilo típico de esta zona, se encuentra este restaurante tan sumamente acogedor y lleno de detalles. La restauración de la casa, se hizo manteniendo el estilo rural y utilizando madera y piedra. Para su decoración se han utilizado los elementos de uso cotidiano de la vida en el campo.
Os dejo con las fotos, muchas, porque cada rincón era digno de enseñar.

After reaching Santander, and on our way down to Madrid, we stopped at Fonibre, in Cantabria to see right where the Ebro river is born. There, we found a wonderful restaurant named Fuentebro, in a typicall rural house restored using original elements of the area such as wood and stone.  It is beautifully decorated with many items normally used in the everyday rural life.
Here are some pictures, lots of them, because each corner deserved to be photographed.

Me llamó la atención.... It caught my eye (3º)

Seguimos con la ruta y pasamos por un pueblo de Burgos, Villarcayo. De unos 3.000 habitantes y con un entorno maravilloso de bosques y praderas junto al río Nela. El plan de Villarcayo es bicis, paseos, baños por el río, pesca y muchas caminatas.
En Santa Cruz de Andino encontramos un hotel rural con mucho encanto. Su propietaria Olatz, te tratará como si estuvieras en casa. Os dejo unas fotos de esta casa de piedra maravillosa con una decoración fiel a la personalidad de su propietaria.

Driving up north, we stop at Villarcayo, a small town in Burgos. With a population of 3.000, this small town is highly recommendable for its beautiful green surroundings alongside the Nela river. Bike rides, walks, swimming in the river, fishing and hiking are some of the activities one can enjoy here.
In Santa Cruz de Andino, we found a rural hotel with a lot of charm. Olatz, the owner, will treat you as if you were at home.
